Even though I consider the existing books of Thomas Covenant to be utterly
without any redeeming features, I know there are people out there who
actually like them, and may therefore be interested to learn that this
autumn there will be a new book in the series published:
http://www.stephenrdonaldson.com/
"The Runes of the Earth
the first of four books in ...
The Last Chronicles of
Thomas Covenant"
I must admit, even I found the sample chapter on the web site interesting,
but after suffering my way through the existing books, I won't be bothering
with the new ones.
Fans of derivative tripe, with unlikeable and unfeasibly stupid characters,
apallingly corny names and genuinely unpleasant plot devices should get
ready to flock to the bookshops now.
Alternatively, watch the trailer (yes, this book has a video trailer) and
make sure you have a bucket handy.
