My God, people know of the film Flight of Dragons? It was just a
cartoon - sorry, animated film I saw one Saturday afternoon (obviously
during the summer, when they only put the shorter Saturday morning live
shows on, eg. the woeful Parallel 9... but I digress!). I mean, I
thought it was all right, but will anyone else? It's not even anime or
anything particularly violent - although people do die in it... still,
if anyone's interested, let's show it one night just to show how science
fiction and fantasy can meet. (And it's more sci-fi than Scream at any
rate!)

On a completely different topic, does anyone know who now has the
copyright for the Daleks, since Terry Nation popped his cl... I mean,
passed on? If we can get hold of it, how about publishing a Dalek comic
strip wot I've written and drawn myself on the web pages?

By the way, maybe that probe in Stargate simply looked around inside the
pyramid until it saw a star map, with the legend "You are here"...?

Are these dragons based on the Pern series of books, as they use the
same method for flight, and breath.

The Bern convention holds that a copyright is still in progress for
70 years after the authors death. The copyright is therefor likley to
be held by his estate, unless he passed it on to anyone. Getting
the copyright will be an extremley expensive thing, but not
imposible. Also any mention of other characters such as the Doctor,
will be difficult, because they are copyrighted by the BBC, and
possibly virgin publishing (book rights).

By the way, maybe that probe in Stargate simply looked around inside
the pyramid until it saw a star map, with the legend "You are
here"...?

Yeh, but how did it plot it position when it was within the "gate",
it would be a bit difficult to get information when you are
travelling faster than the speed of light.

I for one think it is an excellent film. Getting hold of a copy may
be difficult, though...

The internet movie database gives it a far higher rating than any of
the other films we've got planned, too, although admittedly a smaller
number of people have actually voted for it in the first place.

I'll stick it on our events page as being "planned sometime".
