Ummmm

Errr so the current committee have decided to 'renew and refresh' the
society by moving the night to Tuesdays, and I got slapped for telling the
truth and asking for an honest answer. Well I will not say anything more, I
will just sit and look smug on Thursday.

The (implied) statement is that there is a change from Thursdays.
That has turned out to be fact. The *question* - which is still
unanswered, at least by a committee member - is about exclusion.

Questions are not statements. Groups where certain statements lead
to censure are perhaps understandable - groups where certain *questions*
lead to censure are headed down a slippery slope. Or so it seems to
me, anyway.

It's no nevermind to me - my interest, back when there was interest,
was mostly in Gamesoc - but you shouldn't accuse people of saying
things they haven't. That is the way to spread paranoia and rumour,
dont'cha know.

Actually, Chris, it's a bit more complicated than that.

The way I see it, Tuesdays are a no go area as far as I am concerned (at
least on a regular basis) for the simple reason that as a living breathing
creature I require food. Most of us who are now working eat at the pub on
Thursdays because there isn't time to go home and eat before coming out.
The Beehive doesn't do food on Tuesdays (and anyway there wouldn't be space
for us on a Tuesday night beccause of the pub quiz). Crosslands doesn't do
food at all in the evening.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with a change - if there is actually
going to be one - as it makes no difference to me whether it's on Tuesday or
Thursday. But my tummy will complain about a Tuesday and that is not a
pretty sight ;o)

I really liked the freshers I met last night - a thoroughly nice bunch. I
hope that they can be encouraged to stick around and if that means changing
the day, then so be it. I just think maybe it will split the society
because of the logistics and that would be a bad thing.
