DO NOT READ IT.
I mean this.
It's not "so bad it's funny" it's just BAD. It's not "sick and twisted" in a
good way, it's just sick. It's also NOT Science Fiction, although Ballard did
write a lot of Sci-Fi. Do yourself a favour and avoid it.
I realise that this email may well encourage some contrary and perverse
individuals to read it, JUST BECAUSE I advised against it. They're stupid, and
I think that in preference to burning all existing copies of the book, we
should burn all those morons who read it, after being told how dreadful it is.
