Red Dwarf DVDs

The Red Dwarf Series 1 DVD arrived yesterday and they're rather good.

Firstly: The episodes on the discs are the original versions not the "special
edition" filmised ones with updated effects. Immediate plus points. Cast
commentary (Craig, Chris, Danny and Norman) on all 6 episodes which is very
good. Writers and director commentary on Ep1. Lots of supporting material
including the usual making of stuff, out takes, isolated musical scores..... &
for some reason a Japanese edition of The End (special edition)

Great animation on the menus - There's a great bit on the episode selection with
Perky waving a sign around !

Well worth it if you like the show, and the best TV Discs I've seen apart from
the DW and LoG releases. Out Monday, 20 quid.

To my mind as well series 1 & 2 are the best of the show.... so if you've only
seen the later ones during the series dying days get this and get some friends
round ....
