Midsomer Murders
Hey, did anyone see the recent episode of Midsomer Murders on Sunday? There were some scenes of it filmed in the South Quad of Founders. I only mention this because I happened to be there during the filming of the scenes there last summer (I was hiding behind one of the sets of stairs whilst John Nettles filmed one of the scenes).
It was a very silly episode though set in a posh boarding school with an absurd boys society called "The Pudding Club" set up during the 1860s apparently when the school dinners were very poor "Thankfully the catering has improved since then" said the comedy Headmaster ("No it hasn't!" I shouted back at the screen). In fact all the episode needed to complete the silliness would have been the presence of Will Hay, Joyce Grenfell, Margeret Rutherford and Alastair Sim in drag as members of staff. In fact maybe they should just have filmed it up at Brunel (St Trinian's) up the road.
