Mawning all,
Spotted an interesting publicity poster for Attack of the Clones this
morning on the train. The London IMAX has been wrapped in a *massive* Star
wars poster with most of the character faces on display. :)

Any got nay ideas how to get the picture off the side of the building.
:o) could do with one on my bedroom wall, though I would need to get a
very big bedroom ;o)

Any got nay ideas how to get the picture off the side of the building.
:o) could do with one on my bedroom wall, though I would need to get a
very big bedroom ;o)

Speak to the climbing club, I'm sure they'd like a challenge by scaling
something like that and pulling a blag at the same time.

original trilogy screening this Saturday - check the date ;-)

AOTC: Is there a society trip on the cards ? I'm out of town the weekend it's
out but what about a Friday night in Feltham or Bracknell ?

You know when all the TV channels cancel all their top-rated Sci-Fi and
replace it with something even more bizzare (22 strangely-dressed
carbon-based lifeforms pushing a sphere around with their feet), even though
this "football" is frequently more expensive and very often has lower
viewing figures? That's just "football". A "cup final" is when they finally
decide to have one last game and stop that particular "league" of football
for a few months.

Unfortunately, during those few months, the tv channels repeat the above
process with an even more bizzare game, "cricket", which is clearly
attempting to revive the memory of the most horrific wars the universe has
ever known - the players even wear hard white clothes to imitate the krikkit
robots! The bit with the red ball hitting the wicket gate is a most
grotesque feat of bad taste which is, as we all know, the reason why earth
is shunned by all other species in the galaxy.

You forgot about the snooker, which is what is currently blighting
terrestrial sci-fi viewing.
That's when two of the aforementioned carbon based lifeforms hit a little
white ball with a stick to try to get lots of other coloured balls to fall
down a hole. Why? Ahh, one of the great unanswerable questions of the
universe.

soon as we were promised a big multiplex in the (then) brand new 2 rivers
complex. Well... now we've finally got that multiplex at 2 rivers. It opened
just in time for the "Ali G" film - I reckon they should have got Ali G to
open it actually.

are biiiig), and they have these huge glowing numbers indicating what screen
it is outside the doors.

What on Earth have they been doing down by the bridge for the past
year or so, then? I thought they were trying to build yet another cinema
there...

Nope, they are building "Executive" flats, which they will sell at really
high prices on the grounds that they have a river view. (Sorry but still
haven't forgiven them for knocking down the cinema).

I like squirrels they are low fat food, Maybe they will introduce some
Armadillos to harvest(crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside).

No .... it's an attempt to settle the question of "which team is better at
Limited Overs Cricket in England" by winning both trophies in the same year.
Cricket as far as I know has never appeared in the Karma Sutra. And to be
honest I'm struggling to think where else in sci fi it appears other than in
HHGttG and Doctor Who.

They tried, as did Books Etc. However he charges an
extortionate fee which none of the establishments in
Staines were prepared to pay.

Hurst (1966 England Goal scoring superstar hero) is
doing a book signing today at Books Etc. Mrs bob is
still trying to get Terry Pratchett to do a signing in
Staines. If anyone has any ideas of authors they

let me know and I'll see what she can arrange.
