The question with

"Where is the
library and where will it be next year?".
Hi Daniel!

Well that's not entirely true - we did have the
library for one whole
year lurking at the top of the stairs at Simon & Jenny's house. But the
[and Richard's]
someone (the SU no doubt) deemed it not a very good place to keep it.
Obviously putting all the books in boxes and keeping them away from us
lot was a far better idea than letting us have access *8).
and the previous two years in storage (whilst I offered to take them). So
you _could_ have had 4 years here!
Last year we were told that seeing as none of us are current students, the
books could no longer be kept at 85 St Judes. So, imminently (all last year)
a cupboard to keep the books in was being bought for them. I gather that the
cupboard provided is tiny: perhaps if they _were_ brought back, a select few
could be kept there?
If you are allowed to bring them back, I am sure we don't mind: I miss being
able to read them. Perhaps also, some more new books can again be bought.
With this mailing list going, perhaps other people can use it to suggest
ones they want: and perhaps the committee can authorise us again. Last year,
we only spent the theoric, as we were initially told we might have to pay
towards the "cupboard" (HUH). After we finally "knew" that the union was
paying for it, we did not organize the second trip to buy books.
We do happen to still have the books we bought last year. Including, to my
annoyance no 3 of a series which I have read 1, and 1+2 is in storage...
If we do have the books, what with the Web site which Richard has been
adding to, and this mailer, people could I'm sure choose books and mail us
with their requests and we could bring them down. We all arrive late on
the Ascot on Thursdays, and also Richard and Simon will go to Monday evening
gaming, and Simon runs a campaign on Wednesday in the Lecture block, which I
am in. As we work from home, we will of course be in most days for students
who can walk so far! Not perfect, but a hell a lot better than boxes in the
Union that noone can get to!
Can we have some feedback from the committee on all this ( can you read
this?)
