DW, Enterprise and other related fun....
A few little bits, start with some DW related stuff:
Just made my way through the last Doctor Who CD Release. I suspect me and Adam are the
only ones likely to listen to these but "the One Doctor" was rather good.... helped by
some nice joke sequences a few minutes off the end of the disc, including a sequence where
a character is trapped in a "Weakest Link" style game show for eternity.
One of the questions he's given is
"The Argons hail from which planet ?"
"Arg"
"And for a bonus point what's the name of their ruler ?"
"The great Rangdo of Arg"
(one extra sale as NickWa dashes out to buy this tribute to one his fave TV Shows. 1
hour, 9 minutes & 20 seconds into disc 2 Nick....)
I've also listened to the first episode of the new story which was on a cover disc on this
month's Doctor Who magazine. By Mark Gatsis (LoG) and featuring Simon Pegg & Jessica
Stephenson (of Spaced, S2 DVD and Video start of March) and Matt Lucas (of Shooting Stars,
new series Sunday) this is also rather good. (Adam - New issue, Q1: The only stories the
Doctor arrives without a companion)
Enterprise: I don't care what anyone else says, I rather enjoyed it - more than most
Voyagers I've seen, it was a good bit of fun, and I didn't spot terribly much that could
really offend the continuity obsessed. The ship looks nice, the acting's OK and there's
some nice little prop touched - viewer on the science station and flip-top communicators
being 2 I can think of. Any more discussion will involve some spoiler space so if
there's anyone else out there who saw it who'd like to add their 2p worth remember to
include some !! Try and catch it when it comes on C4 later in the year and form your own
opinions.
There's also some new Buffy this week, joy of joys, my copying nightmare starts again
.....
E2: Lots of nice action figure images out there and a fair number of brand new lightsabres
for us to play with :-) I need a SW style Luke one ......
