I'm Arragon, but this means nothing to me because I've never read the book.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Aragorn, son of Arathorn, heir to the thrones of Isildur & Elendil. Bearer of the sword
that was broken, chief of the Dunedain also known as the Rangers. Quite important really
..... but we first meat him in an Inn in Bree going under the name of Strider.
"Not all that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither
Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken.
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken
And the crownless again will be King"
Read the books, they're great.
Incidentally Jon Browne of They Walk Among Us saw the LotR film at a screening in London
this week and describes it as one of the best films he's ever seen and that it adheres
quite closely to the book.
