Agreed.
I've recently been lucking enough to get my hands on an admittedly poor
quality copy of the BBC production of Day of the Triffids. Excelent stuff
The Carnival of Monsters from the 72/3 season
Welsh. The Green Death from the same season. The maggots is an oft
quoted who memory.
Spot on. Pertwee rejeneration from Planet of Spiders in 1974
destroy the Earth's core.
Dalek Invasion of Earth 2164. And probably the showing I recalled
earlier.

Interestingly this predates all the others to 1970 and I think you must
have seen the original screening as it wasn't repeated till relatively
recently.
