Darth Vader Action Figures
I got some Star Wars figures through the mail this morning and one of them was another
Darth Vader. This got me thinking: Given that Darth Vader is *roughly* the same through
all 3 Star Wars films how many different figures do you think they've made of him in the
current Star Wars range ?
1 Darth Vader (original figure, rather broad)
2 Darth Vader - from the Shadows of the Empire DV vs Prince Xixor 2 pack - different
stance.
3 DV Force FX - Light up light sabre
4 DV Final Jedi Dual - in a 2 pack with Luke and a seated Emperor - holds light sabre in
both hands. First DV with the 2nd cape from his waist as well as his shoulders
5 DV Removable Helmet - Anakin's disfigured face under the helmet. The right hand comes
off too, and it's the first DV with extra articulation in the arms.
6 DV Complete Galaxy - in Meditation chamber, top and back of the helmet removes ala scene
in ESB. Cloth Cloak, No Light sabre
7 DV Gunner Station - in a missile firing Tie Fighter cockpit. Cloth Cloak, No Light
sabre
8 DV Escape from the Death Star game - body of 4, head of 5, a pack in for the game
9 DV Flashback - bicep and wrist articulation in both arms -> can hold sabre in one or 2
hands
10 DV Comtech - cloth cape, hands posed on waist, with talkie chip gimmick, interrogation
droid and no light sabre
11 DV Degobah Spirit - cast in translucent plastic with a removable head, and removable
faceplate that reveals Luke's face ala scene in ESB (The Tree)
12 DV Masters of the Darkside - 2 pack with Darth Maul
13 DV Emperor's Wrath - Translucent Helmet with skull visible inside from near the end of
ROTJ - the one I've got today !
Throw in 1 unmade figure (from the CD Rom pack, DV deflecting Han's blaster bolt on
Bespin) - 2 adult Anakin figures - one normal, one Ghost (Blue Minty Gell) and numerous E1
Anakin's and that's a lot of remakes of essentially the same figure !
Philip - who also got the new Luke X-Wing pilot with removable helmet !
(and you wouldn't believe how many white shirted Luke's they've done !)
