Spot which of these 2 ships is a TNG/DS9 model, and which is *supposed*
to predate the federation by 100 years.
And has anyone got a theory on what they will come up with to eplain the
federation not recognising the existence of this ship.
Picard's study has models on the walls of all the Enterprises. But not this
one.

The top one is I think a Norway class vessel which debuts in Star Trek:First Contact.
There's a distinct resemblance there....

I think I pointed this out at the time - and note the pics of earlier Enterprises on the
movie rec deck.
The style does look vaguely plausible. *HOWEVER* I do have somewhere in my collection an
early piece of DS9 publicity showing one of the Mushroom style spacedocks as the station
so things could change between now and then.
While we're on the subject of Trek anyone know when the ST:V finale is on Sky One ?

Well you can colour me amazed on this one.....
Firstly dept of corrections: The ship shown in the print is an Akira class vessel. I
looked it up in the copy of the Star Trek Encyclopaedia that Smith's had for a tenner at
lunch today.
Secondly: There *is* a prior Enterprise to the NCC 1701. Same book as above provides the
information that the SS Enterprise exists, no further info apart from a brief picture of
something vaguely resembling a B5 Explorer class vessel.
