Seven Days

Anyone else see the pilot of this on Tuesday?

I was expecting a bit of a clone of Quantum Leap but it was a bit better
than that (perhaps the Pauli exclusion principle prevented something too
similar). It takes itself a bit more seriously and is rather harder edged.
Basically a thriller based on a SF excuse, but the series might be worth
watching if it lives up to the pilot. More pre-watershed shoot-outs and
gratuitous use of hand grenades, please!

BBC2 6:00. Series proper starts next Tuesday at 6:45, after Voyager series
whatever. It was probably on satellite/cable/subether/maser/cortical implant
ages ago but I'm strictly terrestrial. I'm _so_ last season.

I don't remember Sky having it. SciFi might have done in one of their blink and you'll
miss it moments.....

Well, over here, it was one of UPN's new shows (yep, same home as Voyager
and Enterprise). Each season they have about 5 new shows, some of which
make it and some of which don't. 7 Days, I'm afraid, is one that didn't
make it past 3 seasons. I never got around to watching it (even though
they're repeating it for about the 10th time) 'cause it's on at the same
time as Buffy/Angel.

Oh and on a completely different note but kind of connected (well, we're
talking about UPN, kind of), Buffy is moving to UPN for at least 2 seasons.
This is going to make crossovers interesting as Angel is staying on TheWB.
Mind you, I'm going to love watching the new season (and for those of you
who scrolled down to find the spoilers in my Season Finale email you'll
understand what I'm talking about. For those of you who didn't, wait and
see). Although I'm sure you folks in the UK probably don't care what
channel it's airing on over here (only if you come over here and want to get
totally confused by watching episodes from a different season), it will
impact the way the shows develop - different networks have different
philosophies on programme control (for example, the debacle over Crusade
wouldn't have happened if TNT hadn't been involved). So it should be
interesting to see how Buffy changes from next season onwards and what if
any impact there is on Angel.
