autograph when Tom Baker got ambushed by Michael Aspel.

Miss Hawthorne, played by Damarias Hayman. Dunno about that but she's in the episode of
the Young Ones with Neil digging a grave. But link the Paper Man in the same story (via
references if necessary to the Daleks and The Cyberman, K9 and a in particular a man's
hand up a bear's bottom) with a staple of ITV Children's Television.

Thank god I only got 18 out of 102 (82.4% Dr Who pure) 17.6% Corrupt

I was a little worried that I would be on a higher level of corruption as
some years ago when I was ended up in a group drinking with Jon Pertwee (we
were the only ones in the bar at about 4 in the morning, so he came looking
for a couple of his friends who were at our table and joined us). You here
things about Who fans at conventions not drinking enough, from Who fans who
stopped doing Who conventions due to the lack of social bar activities and
started doing other genre conventions, whilst still having Dr Who as there
number one series.

Yay! I turned out to be 79.4% Dr who pure, (I would have got slightly
lower, but I couldn't remember one of the doctors, and the way of saying
it's bigger on the inside that the outside, both things are on the tip of my
tongue and bugging me) it's my highest purity test result! I feel

But compared with my former housemate who's got a lifesize model tardis

Nyssa- it was the character I played in a Doctor Who roleplaying pubcrawl my
friend wrote. (I've just had a look it's not on a web, although some of the
others are at http://users.ox.ac.uk/~dougsoc/pub.crawls/index.html)
I've got no idea! He's called Phil Purser-Hallard. Formerly Phil Hallard.
I've got a book, can't remember the name- the proceeds went to cot death
research, which has a short story he wrote in it. He's reviewed Doctor Who
books for one of those SF magazines you can buy in WHSmiths too- I forget
which one.

His PhD is on science fiction, although mostly the literary kind. I know
that at one point he was planning to talk about Babylon 5 in his thesis
though, and he taught a course on SF films.

i once tried to turn a toy car into a hand held thing that Egon used to
carry around. it was actually quite cool. in my opinion. and no one elses.
the backpacks were called Proton Packs.

Proton packs ruled. I always wanted a toy one, although the foam beams
looked like complete crap, all foam and stuff, or the projecter based one
one with slimer.

And I'm counting about 38-39 posts for the dr who purity test. Oh dear,

my favourite era was when Portacio and Jim Lee were drawing the books -
they've fallen so far.
is it true Churchill and Quitely will be drawing them soon?

That's Paul Smith's entire run on the comic but if you can find it the X-Men
Asgardian Wars collects together the X-Men/Alpha Flight Mini Series that he
drew with the New Mutants Special Edition and aforementioned X-Men annual 9
(both drawn by Art Adams)
Portacio especially. I heard word there was some sort of family illness
which meant his deadlines went to pot and led to his removal from the book
pre Image.

Portacio's best work can be found in the X-factor Issues he drew.......
late 70s and early 80s numberwise. They concern X-Factor, Apocalypse and
how the baby Nathan Summers ends up being sent to the future. If you look
in the Autumn 92 issue of RWAV I site these issues in my list of evidence
that Cable was Nathan Summers. There's a reprint of this around somewhere
too.
? Not sure. I gave X-Men up a few years back. After the Bastion thing
it looked like the book was going in a neat direction, new characters
(Maggot, the forceshield Girl), long forgotton back ground characters (Saba)
Then they chucked it all out the window and brought the old lot back in
tact. I was not amused and voted with my hard stretched cash.

If anyone's wanting to get into X-Men I can also recomend the Phoenix Saga
compliation as well as the above From the Ashes and Asgardian Wars.
There's another compilation entitled Danger Room battles which is rather
good, and the much worthy Wolverine limited series with pre Dark Knight
Frank Miller art in it.
