mailing list...

The phone bill issue is a good arguement for having two mailing list,
one for chit-chat/messages and one for announcements; but the last thing
we should want is a them and us situation, with students on one list and
ex-students etc on the other.

As for leaving the society to be "run for students by students". I agree, but
I know in my day I was glad when I got any help/advice for anywhere.

P.S. If the chit-chat is dropped, then the mailing list just becomes a
repeat of the posters around college and thursday announcements etc. great!

2. copy the current distribution addresses to this list
3. use this ifis_announce list for announcements
4. automatically forward any replies to posts in announce to the
