Mailing list problems :
Simple solution :
(1) Make sure that the titles of emails (in the subject bar) you send
are relevant to topic.
(2) Delete any emails you don't like the look of.
Other solutions :
(3) Read your email more often.
(4) Identify persistant offenders and redirect mail from them into the
recycle bin (using inbox assistant).
Division of the mailing lists down to specific shows/books/films would
be a nightmare, as there are so many of them. Administration would be a
nightmare. Can you imagine 60-odd people all wanting different
combinations of lists? ( "I want Star Wars, and Dr Who, but not Return
of the Jedi, or B5.") The current system works quite fine for me. Also,
interesting information which doesn't warrant a separate email can be
(and often is) found within an email on quite another subject.
That's all,
Andrew Wren (twice in one week, that's amazing!)
As you may have guessed, I am not in favour of further division
