If you've heard this on the radio or caught a brief glimpse of it on TFI
Friday last week (clue : the lyrics are incredibly annoying and go
something like "Things are getting strange, I'm starting to worry / This
could be a case for Mulder and Scully"), the official title of the song
is 'Mulder and Scully' and the group are Catatonia.
And just to start a flame war :
What's the problem with breaking a few laws of physics / thermodynamics
/ whatever? The primary purpose of Star Trek and The X - Files is
entertainment. Yes, it's nice if they can educate people, but it's
incredibly difficult to write a script and contain a lot of factual
information as well - just look at the way narrative has to be
streamlined for the purposes of historical drama, for example.
(Switches out of drama student mode)
And to state the blatantly obvious, isn't the solution to the problem of
people not wanting to read posts about TV shows or films they're not
interested in would be to clearly state which film/TV show(s) are being
discussed in the subject line?
