First of all, with regards to Ms.Lorna's query: if it's an episode of
TNG which was never shown, it was probably "The High Ground" (near the
end of the 3rd season), since it contains stuff about terrorists (Sky
delayed showing it once), whose aims are similar to those of the IRA -
in fact, there's a line which normally gets cut which alleges that the
IRA won their cause in the 21st century! If this isn't the missing
episode, all I can suggest is surfing the Net for a dedicated Star Trek
page.
Secondly, if anyone's interested, another theory on the Martian Face can
be found at:
http://fractalcow.com/bert/bert.htm
in the Image Archive under "Classified Documents of Martian
Surveillance". Anyone who doesn't know who this page is based upon
should hang their heads in shame.
Thirdly, are all these constant messages about Babylon 5 really
necessary? I don't follow the show at all, and thus have no idea
whatsoever what any of you are on about! I think it would be worthwhile
for whoever runs the mailing lists to set another one up called
something like IFIS-B5, for all your episode spoiler needs. In case
you're wondering, it is possible to be interested in sci-fi and not be a
B5 fan - I like Dr.Who and the older Star Treks, and frankly I've been
feeling left out of late!
Finally, with regards to this DS9 replicating mine thing: I haven't seen
the episode in question, so I don't know what sort of mines they are
(land mines? Space mines? Floating anti-personnel seeker mines? Coal
mines?!?), but surely they replicate in the same way as all those food
machines aboard the Enterprise et al, ie. by turning energy into matter!
Which means either each successive generation of mines is less powerful,
or that they have some kind of root power source. Blimey, I don't even
know which side these things were being used by!
Anyway, I have said enough (this will doubtlessly be followed by "Hear
hear" or similar when this E-mail is re-quoted by someone too lazy to
reiterate), so I'll sit back and let someone else take the floor.
