All of these websites was created because of an animated sci-fi movie
called "Titan:AE." The movie is expected to premeire on June 16th in the
USA and shortly thereafter in the rest of the world. We are currently
counting down to that date.
Set in the future, Earth is under attack by the vile alien race the
Drej. They are beings composed entirely of energy. Young Cale (Matt
Damon)is separated from his father in the race to escape. After a
catastrophic explosion, Earth ceases to exist and Humans are now homeless
refugees, struggling to survive in a hostile galaxy dominated by aliens.
Fifteen years later, Cale is a rebellious teenager, stuck on a third-rate
asteroid. But not for long. Cale soon learns that his father has
left him a ring containing a map to a legendary spacecraft, the Titan,
which holds the secret to salvation for the human race.
With the aid of the Valkyrie's Captain Joe Korso, his beautiful
pilot Akima (Drew Barrymore) and a ragtag crew of assorted aliens, Cale
embarks on an adventure through space.
With the Drej close behind and betrayal from within, Cale must
become a renegade warrior and a new kind of hero as he completes his
mission to find a whole new world.

It's an on-line strategy game, this is probably more appropriate to Gamesoc,
tho i can't for the life of me find the e-mail addy for the general gamesoc
mailing list on the gamesoc website.

Assuming you mean Planetarion, yes - it's a very good resource management
and combat strategy game. OTOH, it's due to be reset within a few weeks, so
I actually wouldn't bother to sign up until after the reset.

I wasn't impressed with AfterEarth (sorry Lorna!), on the basis that once
you've joined, you don't actually do anything. Good graphics, poor gameplay,
and terrible server return times. Based on a film, too, so there's lots of
little bits all over the place saying "See the film" or "Download Trailers
now" etc etc.


Also, further discussion on this subject should be moved to the Gamesoc
list, which at least is slightly more appropriate than IFIS. Note that I'm
saying this, and am not waiting until I get flamed for going off-topic.
