duplicate books
Following up myself and Dominick on what to do with duplicate books:
At least *some* of the books donated have come out of the "well, *I* thought
it was rubbish" part of someone's collection, and IMHO are a load of old
toss. Acquiring yet more duplicates of those would be pretty pointless, and
it might be reasonable to politely decline a duplicate, or ask if we can
sell it on to raise money etc cetera.
However, it could get awfully political to sell *any* books which are
already in the library. Therefore, can we get duplicates put back into
somewhere inaccessible in the SU (like the rest of the books for the last XX
years ) ? Then, they could be dug out when books *do* go missing.
