Dear All,
hello dear Friends. Unfortunately I can't come to the pub very
much this term as I have lots of exams on Friday morning. Boo Hoo!
Anyway-

1. I returned after 5 weeks to find just 78 e mails waiting for me. This is
not good enough. It is tradition that I return from holidays to find my
email box crashed by IFIS chat. I am very disappointed.

2. Having seen the trailer, I agree with whoever it was who said that the X
men movie will probably be crap. I remain hopeful however as it can't be
much worse than Blade or The Crow.

3. The Borg would wipe the floor with the death star. All they would have to
do is stay out of the way of the big gun on the front. As the turbolasers
and tie fighters use the same type of energy weapons they could quickly
adapt and assimilate them all at their leisure.

Not been down for months - healths not good :-( Very tired at nights now,
and no energy to do anything most of the time.

Anyway-

I'm sorry - I got flamed last time. Besides there's been very little to
talk about until recently.....

Having said that there's all sorts of stuff I was waiting to mention till
people got back...

I don't think I mentioned that Memorabilia was a lot of fun a few weeks
back, and ditto Transforce over the Easter weekend. I really _must_ pop
down and bring some of the neat kit I've got - Super Fire Convoy and the Car
Robots - with me.

I've also got my greasy mits on some copies of the Japanese Transformers
Cartoon - episodes of both Headmasters and Masterforce - if anyone's
interested get in touch. If enough people are interested could we put them
on ? And I thought we were going to do the movie at some point ?

2. Having seen the trailer, I agree with whoever it was who said that the

X

men movie will probably be crap. I remain hopeful however as it can't be
much worse than Blade or The Crow.

I dunno - I've got high expectations when it comes to X-Men. Maybe that's
why the comic disapointed me so much a few years back that led to me jacking
it in. Having introduced several new characters and brought an older
obscure character into play they tossed it all in the bin and brought a load
of older stuff back. Anyone read it recently ? What's going down ?

And for ref my fave X-Men stuff is 108-144 (Byrne) 165 - 175 (Brood, Rogue,
Wolverine's Wedding, Madeline Pryor), Asgardian Wars and Mutant Massacre
(209 - Nimrod !) to Fall of the Mutants (226)

The fall of the X-Men as a comic book _probably_ happened when Marvel
started milking it for all the titles they could - at one pt there were 8
monthly titles (Uncanny XMen, XMen, XFactor, XForce, XMan, GenerationX,
Wolverine and Cable) which is a bit OTT. Hmmm Mag article coming on I
think....

We've done this to death now.... Come back in 12 months for another shot at
it.....

(Though I'm with you - and I reckon that after the 3rd Cube went down they'd
have got the hang of deflecting the beam or getting out the way)
