According to today's Guardian, the producers of Blakes 7 "have announced
they are to make a new movie for TV, and possibly another series. Paul
Darrow ... is expected to be back..." no doubt with a larger costume.

This has been touted about for quite some while now - TV Zone reported it at the
start of the year.
BTW Tomorrow's (Saturday 15/04/2K) episode "Project Avalon" is one of my
personal favorites. Very good - watch it.
Philip - who's not normally at his desk at this hour but has popped back to
collect some his team for a night out....

I was quoting directly, and given the aforementioned BBC website article
says:-
".. producer Andrew Sewell, who bought the Blake's 7 rights from the estate
of its creator, the late Terry Nation..." it looks like they were entirely
correct.

Bugger. Missed it. That's two I've missed this time around. I may have to
actually go out and buy the videos.

I heard this a while ago, the information I had was that it would be set 20
years on from the
end of the last series, would star Paul Darrow. It would be a big budget
film with lots of special effects. The plot
would be from a Terry Nation idea.

He looked very rough when he was in the Strangers a few weeks back. I'd hope it
was just the make up.
Did anyone see this and actually like it or find it funny ?

Terry Nation's been dead a fair number of years now. He spent the last 15 or
so years of his life working in Hollywood on such things as <Patty & Selma>
MacGyver </Patty & Selma> Having divorced himself somewhat from B7 after the
2nd series I wonder what sort of idea he left behind ?
Incidentally has anyone read Paul Darrow's book Avon: A terrible aspect ?
Rather good I heard but never read it to find out.
Philip - who still thinks that the Randall and Hopkirk revival is excelent.

Blake missed his chance there, why not just get the 'droid
to kill off Travis. Since he'd have got the supreme
commander as well half the Federation would have revolted
on the spot. Should have sent Avon to do the job. Bluddy

Don't bother on my account.
Remember I saw them all the FIRST time around. I saw the shows, bought the
toys, and read the annuals. Blue Peter demonstrated how to make a teleport
bracelet out of buttons, cardboard, and a cut-up ridged squash bottle.
(Fully working - Liberator not included.)
I'm just building up my own personal collection.
Wonder how much my annual's worth now (not that I could possibly sell it)?

So did I mate, only I can't remember what happened
in them. I'm trying to avoid spoilers myself so I can
enjoy it just as much the second time round. Do unto others
