MAJOR Newsworthy Events:
As announced at the Golden Apple, Neil Gaiman has officially signed a
contract
with Warner Bros. to both write and direct a screen version of 'Death: The
High Cost OF Living'. No cast has been decided or mentioned (so you can stop
the rumors right now.)
He also announced that both he and Dave McKean are now working with Sunbow
Entertainment (who did the animated show 'The Tick') to create an animated
series based on 'The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish'.
Also, in a very interesting move, Miramax Films has purchased the film
rights
to the short story 'Chivalry' (from Smoke & Mirrors / Angels & Visitations).
This will be more than likely a short film, and stay tuned, because a major
(and very surprising) announcement would be made about the director for this
project.
As for the other movies, no changes. Gilliam's still on 'Good Omens',
Richard
Loncraine is on 'Neverwhere', and 'Sandman' is still a Sherman Tank in
Development Hell rolling down a hill with no driver, and should be destroyed
(but, semi-good news about that is, that they're going back to some of the
better, earlier scripts and doing more revisions on them).
