Dear Everyone,
Once more the Chairman has returned, a fact that I
know you are all so happy about ( que 50 e-mails from people who are not
happy to have me back.) Anyway,

1. With any luck we will be showing The 5th Element this week. However,
the room still has not been allocated so I don't know where it will be.
Watch this space.

2. My Dad has produced the first draw for the IFIS library (yes we do
have a library. The fact that apart from Jenny only Lorna seems to use
it does not mean that it is an urban myth.) After I have checked that it
fits, he will finish the others for us, so in the next month or so, I
will probably need some help fitting in the books.

3. I need to talk to Kevin. What's his last name so I can e-mail him?

4. Assan wants to go to Page's Bar sometime in the next month or so.
Anyone interested?

Oh, and I've promised I WILL be using the library after I've read
through clyth's discworld collection. I spend about 3 hours a day
commuting these days, and I've rediscovered BOOKS!

My mum was also chucking out a load of mostly-sci-fi books recently,
so I've got a bin-bag-full of books to donate to the library too.
DEFINITELY!

I remember saying on the last trip "we should definitely do this more
often".

I'm not sure how much they show the cool videos EXCEPT on Saturday
evenings though, and even then it's a good idea to call ahead and make
sure that it's NOT a "party night". As long as you actually let me
know about it, I'll definitely be able to make it on the 17th, but
probably not the 24th or 31st. 7th of Feb is OK too. 14th might be
asking for trouble. 21st is OK... but hell, we can chat about it on
thursday.

well, as one who cannot make the Thursday evenings, I am glad I saw it. I
liked it very much, as well as it having a cool babe for the blokes to smile

And Steve. Once it is fully set up, I'm sure we can talk more people into
using it again. When it was at 85, well over dozen people used it, despite
it being off-campus and all that. Those guys still read. Right now, though
it is a bit of a s** to browse, which is what people want.

As a *provisional* date, I am free on Saturday 31st January during the day.
I wondered if advertising round campus for a "library open day", to gather
in those who want suggestions would help?
Nick, lovely. However, it appeared that when books were donated before, a
load of duplicates appeared. May I suggest that duplicates get passed on,
and in fact we clear out all other duplicates (or get them stored
elsewhere). Its not as though the library is so over-used, after all!
Maybe, but when might be a problem :-)
