Prelude:
No Adam Bob was here first (1993). So he's the first Adam. Unless there's a
prior Adam who's claim predates Adam of Bob. The other one's an imposter :-)
BTW Adam II - I need the identity of a crooked entertainer in DW to complete the
answer to Q1 this month.

I thought it was really good! It is nice to see something inspired by an older
program that you can watch independently of the original and just enjoy because
it is good, and not because it is 'just like it used to be'. I would have to say
that I to am very much looking forward to next weeks episode.

As remakes go it is very good. Excelent casting of Vic and Bob. The
characters are sort of them and sort of the detectives.
The secretary - why am I reminded of Marilyn (I think) from Northern Exposure ?
Would a similar aproach work for Doctor Who ? Could you see it just starting
up, Ian Richardson as the Doctor, with the Tardis arriving somewhere or the
Doctor stepping out of the mist in a cold November night in London ?

Vorg from Carnival of Monsters perhaps? I dunno.

Might do, certainly casting Richardson would be a good way to go and he
could certainly make the character his own whilst retaining a Hartnellian
air of authority.
Adam the Secretary (to prevent further confusion, oooooh the power!)

Hah. I was Treasurary Agent, (wear the Badge, carry the gun). All
you get to do is wear stockings to General Meetings.
Admittidly, wearing stockings does allow you to wield some power,
but is it the sort you should be pursuing??
;-)

No, Auntie Doris does that for me when she makes her occasional appearances
;-)
