Hi,
Just a few thoughs on the mailing list...
- Don't assume that every body goes to the Ascot or gets a mag - I haven't
been for over 3 years. So talking of not repeating chit-chat from thursdays
isn't true for every one.
- I think it isn't the number of messages that is the problem - but that they
can in during the day contineuously. I use e-mail alot at work (25+ messages a
day). Any non-important messages tend to get deleted very quickly, if they
arrived all at once, I would find it easilier to read/answer them.
- Don't assume that every body is more interested in annoucements of events;
I'm more interested in the library etc. and peoples opinion about SF.
- I think poeple are clever enough at IFIS, to understand how e-mail works;
whether for the 1 list, 2 lists or individual members.
- At the moment the e-mail is my only source of info about SF and the only real
way to keep in touch.
Daniel
