Bit obvious wasn't it ? If you want to hide a TARDIS choose
something that hasn't been tried on the show -
IE No Grandfather Clocks, Organs,
Horseboxes, Fire Places, Ionic Columns, Suspicious looking Statues or
Police Boxes.....
Then 3rd of 6 AKA Darren Bob questioned thusly:
If you had very large feet could you hide the fact with two TARDIS'
disguised as small shoes?
I don't believe there was any size limitation given on the size of the
Tardis' outer plasmic shell - when the Doctor was demonstrating how the
Chameleon circuit would work in Logopolis he at one point drew a Pyramid.
What would your feet be standing on in the Tardis though ? Assume the tops
of the boots are the doors - the inner wall and console are generally a bit
further than 10cm from the door......
Although a silly example it does make the point that a Tardis must somewhere
have a door - if not necessarily visible or of the same proportions as the
inner doors. In some Doctor Who episodes the Tardis is seen to directly
open out onto the exterior - Unearthly Child 2 and Pyramids of Mars 3(?)
spring to mind. In others there appears to be some space between the doors
and the console room. In one circumstance the Tardis has been shown to have
more than one set of interior doors - from the main and reserve console
room - so it's possible for 2 doors to be linked to the same exit .....
Then CA Mead enscribed the following words:
My TARDIS was disguised as a small plastic toy TARDIS but I snapped
it in half while trying to open it out into the console room back-drop.
Bad luck. I had a similar experience recently with the wings on my (much
admired) Dragon Megatron.
Now I am trapped on Earth, forced to wander the highways and byways of
this
back water time. I knew I should have bought the Teetrap with real leather
wings!!! <SIGH>
Tetraps aren't the best. Go for a Dalek or a Sea Devil. www.dapol.co.uk
I was really hoping the Melkur would be better than it is :-(
Genesis of the Daleks 2 on Tuesday. For those really itching to see the
(cancelled) Inferno following my article in the Mag (is it out yet) I've got
a copy here ....
