Semi-OT Robot Wars filming

I hereby propose an IFIS trip to watch Robot wars being filmed in
Nottingham.

The filming takes place during the last week of August, and there are 3
shows filmed per day.
To get into the 10am and 2.30 pm shows cost 5 each and to get into the
6.30pm show costs 8.
Obviously I am not suggesting that we all go to Nottingham for a whole week,
(apart from anytthing else, the weekend is already sold out. I would suggest
that Friday 30 August would be a good day to go as this is the penultimate
day, and only the good robots should be left in. :-)

If people are interested, please respond quickly as the tickets appear to
sell very quickly.

When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After
school we'd all go play in his cave, and every once in a while
he would eat one of us. It wasn't until later that I found out
that Uncle Caveman was a bear.

That's what you'd hope. They have this habit of filming things out of
sequence. We managed to catch 1 semi final and a final during the middle of
the filming period.
I also recommend bringing a book, a cd player and some drinks. From our
experience of the shepperton filming last year, you will be utterly bored
during the 55 minute breaks punctuated by 5 minutes of actual action per
hour. That is, unless you find a kids entertainer prancing around running
"guess the missing house robot" games for five year olds entertaining.
