Just wondering, before I run for secretary what
sort of things it entails and what my responsibilities
would be as secretary. I know about having to take
minutes at meetings and type up the email list after
freshers week, but is there anything else? Both
officially and unofficially...
As far as I remember the secretary takes the minutes at the AGM sitting on
the Chairmans lap whilst wearing a short skirt and stockings and suspenders
The website has a copy of the constitution which has a full full description
of the official (boring) stuff. See
www.ifis.org.uk/society/constitution/ - section 5.2
I can't find the unofficial (fun) duties on the website, but I think that
what Wendy said is pretty much it - "...sitting on the Chairmans lap whilst
wearing a short skirt and stockings and suspenders..." - which has been a
tradition since 1995(?) when Kevin Sheehan held the position.
