Thanks to Asan for recoding it into a sensible format...
Star Wars Episode 2 trailer "Clone War" is now on the
IFIS website.
Believed to be the fastest server for SW downloads from Royal Holloway -
but keep it amongst
IFIS members if you intend to keep it that way - I
do not intend to pay too much for extra bandwidth!

Bit of a techie q regarding this: I've burnt the trailer onto a disc
along with the other 3 (which I got from another source) so I could view
them on my TV using my DVD player. The other 3 played fine in
widescreen mode but the player tried to squish the new one horizontally
so that it was in 4:3 ratio and fit onto the screen. Anyone got ideas
why this might be ?

probably does that because the 4th one has been encoded as a 4:3 video
rather than a 4:3 video with the black borders (keeping the widescreen
aspect), thats my guess *8)

I've encoded it as a 640x272 (same size as the quicktime), which isn't vcd
standard size (that's 352x288 in PAL), but then again, I wasn't expecting
people to watch it on a telly :) I kept it at it's source size so that
people get the same quality version when watching it on their computers. If
you want, I can re-encode it to 352x288, with the added black bars so that
you can watch it properly, but do bear in mind that the quality will be
lower because of the lower resolution.
I've also done it as a divx5 and an mpeg2 now as well, available if there is
demand for it...

what did you think of DivX 5? Haven't had time to play with it (machine
not that fast).

The quality on the ones I have is fine - would it be too much trouble
for you to do it ?
