Apologies and Thanks
Those of you who were at the Thursday screening of "A Knight's Tale" I feel
you are owed an apology.
Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in beginning the film due to
the technical difficulties because of us having to change over the DVD
players so that we could play the actual DVD.
Secondly I would like to apologise for the poor sound quality that some of
you may have noticed during the screening. We realised once the film had
begun that it was below standard but felt that it would be too much of a
disruption to stop the film and fiddle with the speakers.
And now the thanks.
The IFIS Committee would like to express their thanks to Chris Turner for
supplying us with his DVD player and his DVD copy of "A Knight's Tale" at
very short notice so that the screening could go ahead.
We would also like to thank Chris, Wendy Burgess and Nick Waterman for
sorting out the DVD players, unplugging them and getting it all to work in
the end.
Finally thank you to Jim Smart for driving me down to pick up Chris and his
DVD player from Egham.
Once again. Thank you.
And a load of you owe me money for the Harry Potter trip, so get it to me by
next thursday!!!
