Pub!
This week's film is, if the subject hasn't given it away, A Knight's Tale, a
medieval fantasy about a young man's quest to prove himself a worthy knight.
It has large bits of wood in it. It's in, as always, Founders Main Lecture
Theatre. That's Thursday 8th November. Doors open at 7pm, film starts around
7-7:30pm.
If you have already seen, or don't want to see, A Knight's Tale, then feel
free to come to the IFIS social instead, which starts around the same time
as the film and will be held this week in Crosslands, because the Beehive
are having some kind of charity event. Crosslands is located, by some
peculiar twist of fate (or maybe coincidence) exactly opposite Founders MLT,
in the South Quad. It continues until after the film, so you're welcome to
join us all afterwards too.
And finally, the IFIS Library is open today, and indeed every Wednesday,
from 1pm - 3pm. It's in Times Square, which is below Athlone Dining Hall,
very convenient if you're having lunch there, or even if you're not. We have
a most impressive collection of well over 2000 sci-fi, fantasy, horror etc.
books, and the service is free to IFIS members. Giles the Librarian will be
down there as always to assist.
