Having seen the 2001 poster, after looking for it, having walked passed it a
couple of times I must agree that it does not appear to be clear. It looks
as though an picture was meant to have been on it but was lost before
printing (the black oblong) also the printer not giving the oblong a
consistent colour (not Jet black but shades from grey to black) makes it
even less clear.
A more normal poster would be better, maybe the standard one with a space
station.

An alternative tag line to try and highlight the pub meet after could be
"my god! it's full of bars"

Nice try but the original version of the line doesn't appear in 2001 the
movie - even though it is in the mission reprise at the beginning of 2010.
Either that or it's been cut out of every version of the film I've seen on
TV.

Philip - who's TF:TM and Godzilla 2000 discs showed up this morning :-)
