That and a rather hefty fine - they have security cameras placed in the area
:o(
I shall double check on the way home this evening.
Does the theoric cover being fined by LU ? Discuss :-)
B) Recognise if not you, then ME !
BWAHAHAHA I've never been, so they won't see me coming :o)
You've been shopping with us before haven't you ?
C) Promptly chuck us out for annoying the other customers.
Yeah sadly Pokemon hunting kids count as customers
arghhhhhhhhh they must all *die horrible painfull deaths!*
I wonder how much more life the Pokemon concept has. Now that it's being
cloned to death - Digimon, Monster Rancher etc - you have to wonder.
While we're on the subject I've seen the Digimon Digivolving
(Transforming) Figures in Woolworths and TRU recently and they look good.
remind me of beast wars toys from what I remember.
For 7 quid the represent good value vs the BW line.
Incidentally, am I the only one who thinks that they are running
out of ideas for Beast wars toys? I dunno, I always prefered
the old transformers with machines and stuff. There's just
something not very appealing about some of the transmetals
(optimus minor? eh? what's so good about that then?)
Right....
For a start Op Minor is a Transmetal 2 (TM2) - there is a diffrence.
Transmetals were the concept reversed - robotic aniumals and biological robots.
TM2 are a mixture of robotic and biological in both modes. Op Minor - and to a
certain extent Sonar and Scarem - are poor toys. The current delux level toys
- Cheetor, Ramulus and Dinobot are much better - and the laster Basics -
Stinkbomb, Spittor and Nightglider make up for it. The larger Tm2 toys -
Megatron, Blackarachnia and Tigerhawk are awesome.
Beast wars was initially persused because one of the things the fans complained
about G2 was the lack of beasts - Dinobots, Predacons, Seacons etc were among
the most popular G1 toys
There are new mechanical Transformers being made. The current US line - Beast
MACHINES - which I do have some examples of (all of them) that I'll try to bring
out with me - casts the Maximals as stylised beasts against the Vehicons -
stylised machines - Race cars, Tanks, Bikes, Jets and Helicopters thus far. url
for pics to follow.
Mechanical DESTRONS were used in the 2nd year of the Japanese Beast Wars. This
year their CYBERTRONS are cast as vehicles - the leader Super Fire Convoy is a
Fire Engine (IMHO - Best TF toy for a long time) and his troops cars and a
bullet train. As part of this line they are remaking some older toys - Optimus
Prime, Bruticus and Fortress Maximus.
I'll have to get down the pub someday with some of the newer stuff - of which
there's a lot.
Philip - who bought Greymon at lunch and thinks he's rather cute.
