Creative writing e-mail list!!!

There is now a mailing list for those budding IFIS authors
out there, where
you can send your science fiction/fantasy stories and see
what other members
think of them.

There are "critique groups" where writers have their work critiqued by
email. Sadly, some sort of computer error once lost me about
a week's worth
of Web bookmarks, and I forget where they are.

I notice that it is also archived on the Web Site.
This counts as "publishing" in some circles, and can preclude the work from
being used elsewhere.

That's a very fair point. If people would prefer, I can remove the archive
from the website, although there's theoretically still nothing stopping
anyone else on the list from stealing your work and publishing it in
whatever form they choose. There's a big difference between "trusting a

IFIS people" and "trusting the entire WWW" though, so I'll be more than
happy to remove the archive if that's what people want?

Alternatively, I could add another magic tag like our <END> tag - one like
<NOARCHIVE> that people could put on the top of anything that they don't
want to be archived? If anyone ever screws up, I can manually edit the
archive, but of course it's already been on the web for a while by the

As I remember (I've been published online a couple of times
already, so I
went and found out) so long as the work is not paid for by
the publisher and
is removed prior to being published elsewhere then you're
okay on that one.

Besides, I *really* hope people don't take to posting novels
hereabouts or anything

writing@

Sign up for it on the IFIS website and you will then be able to recieve
the
e-mails, it works in much the same way as IFIS chat or announce, post
something to it and it will go to all the members on that list.

So get writing (or typing!!)!!!
