That means that anyone who is sending me anything should
get it to me NEXT TUESDAY AT THE VERY LATEST.
I'm writing an article about Killercon, and SF and gaming conventions in
general, though it would be good if someone else did a review of last year's
Killercon. I know I have left it rather late, but I guess so has everyone
else. My article will probably review Gencon at least in passing.
I can give Chris a hand in setting up, as in previous years, so if I can
help, give me a call or email me.
Its probably worth posting a quick summary of what sort of articles you have
/ are being promised so far, so that if anyone is thinking of an article on
most major Gamesoc/
IFIS interests can know if there is anything relevant.
Maybe even a gentle begging letter to the most suitable candidates:
How about these as some ideas for suitable articles/ authors: Campaigns: I
think you have a few articles about this. labby style LRPs V free-form
LARPs V the gathering style. I can write about my experiences at Gencon.
Liam, Shayna, and Shayna are also all into differing forms of this.
board-games and Monday nights: I could write something, if noone else is..
paintballing trips: Adam, maybe, or Richard?
wargaming: Chris Haynes is the expert here...
Video nights: I guess this is up to
IFIS commitee, and I would not have a
clue what is planned
the
library :likewise. [What news on the new location?]
the christmas dinner: likewise
Something from the various commitee members will I guess either have been
delivered to Chris, or they will run round with late-minute additions the
moment they arrive back. Again, if I can help, give me a shout. :-)
I know Shayna had various plans for a Halloween dinner, for instance, and
she has been out of contact, due to the hurricane getting her evacuated.
Also, Steve Dismukes will presumably have something to say about the actual
"killer" aspect of Killercon, which I *assume* he will be running.
I think Neil has writen something here (or maybe about his Star Wars prequel
campaign) as well.
Hope this is of some help, rather than just being a nuisance.
See you all soon,
Jenny Gould
