New novelty pub for first fridays
There's quite a few members and ex-ifis-members who are on announce but not
chat. Seeing as this is probably a fairly important announcement anyway...
There's a new pub called "London Stone" which has recently openned opposite
cannon street train station in central london. It's a sort of fantasy theme
pub, "decked out like a Dungeon/Library/Alchemists, with gothic chairs,
black and white horror flicks on TV and 'secret' doors to the lavvies! And
know it's not *that* tacky either. As a roleplayer it felt like the
mothership calling me home!". Adam pointed us at it, Dom's checked it out,
and several of us have agreed that it's worth trying to do at least one of
the "first-friday-of-the-month" things there, especially considering a lot
of us ex-members seem to be working in nodnol these days.
... so this coming "first friday", Friday 3rd September, there will be a few
of us meeting up in this pub from about 6:30pm onwards. Feel free to join
us! After we've tried it out, we can decide whether to stick with it for a
few more months, or go back to the fairly feeble "well, the beehive is now
crap, I guess we'd better go to the ascot yet again" that we seem to be
stuck in at the moment.
See you there!
