Hi Guys,
As I was reading the news this morning I came across the
following article. Might be worth a visit next term?

Just out of interest...
Has anyone seen the new Pub 'London Stone', that has opened opposite
Cannon Street train Station in Central London?
The place is decked out like a Dungeon/
Library/Alchemists, with gothic
chairs, black and white horror flicks on TV and 'secret' doors to the
lavvies! And know it's not *that* tacky either. As a roleplayer it
felt like the mothership calling me home!
Its worth a visit if your in town, and No, I'm not an employee! It
just happens to be within staggering distance of my workplace. Hic.
Personally I'm waiting for the roleplaying shut-ins and Masquerade
parties to start...
Later,
Adam

Hmm... ALMOST walking distance from work. Might try it! ta!
could/should definitely be made a part of the next london trip too, yeah...
Even if it turns out to be really dreadful, Pages's is only half a dozen
stops away on the central line.

Ditto.
I've a friend who works probably next door to it.
I'll try and give it a go within the next week or so.
Where (physically) do you work now?

That ball was glued to his right foot, all the way to the back of the net.
It could probably be a laugh to go to, especially since I walk past it
every day to work, and back. Handy that Cannon street is right opposite
it, the less crawling distance, the better :o)
cheers

Hang on a minute - Just how many of us are there in central London now?
Me

Estelle?
Others?
The
IFIS First Friday meet was originally held in London.
Maybe it should move back?
To this pub?
If people want to come in to London for it, it's only one stop from Waterloo to
Bank, and then a short walk down to Cannon St.

Estelle's a bit out docklands way.
Others?
Not sure. Daniel "bigbird" hirshler (remember him?) is out docklands way
too.

Hmm... tempting. probably worth trying the pub out before making a decision
though.

I personally don't mind, if it means not having to go all the way through
Egham :o)

Anybody remember this subject line...?
About the pub called "London Stone" that was discussed a while back... that
had the unfortunate limiting factor of only being open on weekdays and then
only until 9:30 (possibly longer on fridays - I'm not sure)
Well, a bunch of us were in london on saturday and we tracked down and
investigated another pub run by the same company and with similar decor...
The Bram Stoker... Definately a fitting stop for any future
IFIS / Gamesoc
london visits I think...

I had a wander over there this lunchtime, and it's rather nice.
It's small, but perfectly formed.
It's full of alcoves with gothic-backed chairs, bookshelves, and gargoyles.
There's a weird mad-scientist-type experiment in a glass case in the centre,
and it's all pulpit-style wooden railings, and steps.
I hereby formally propose a "first-friday" meeting there on September 3rd,
since that's what "first fridays" were originally for. Shall we say 6:30?
It's bound to be crowded to begin with, but should thin out drastically once
all the bankers go home.
If anyone wants to come in from Egham, it'll be easy to get to, as it's just
round the corner from Bank station, but sadly it'll be harder to get back from,
as the Waterloo and City line shuts before the pub does. Allow 8 mins Waterloo
to Pub, and half an hour Pub to Waterloo.

I'll try and be there, by 8pm, but can make no guarantees. I have
long since given in trying to get to these get-to-togethers. Family
life is just too demanding to allow me to enjoy myself. Bwahahahahaha.
