My last b!tch is with the BBC, with so many un-release Dr Who vid's, why
do they bother releasing stuff. The Terror of the Zygons
(a much more complex plot line than either the two other videos) was

Terror has been deleted for some while now. The rerelease is in episodes
rather than edited together.
Incidentally the Begining box set has apparently been canned ....

Next month is "Curse of Fatal Death"

There are 23 unreleased stories that exist in complete form (list follows

Nope - there's no rental version of ACTA. The sell through was meant to
go July 26th -
it never showed up. Both the Trailer on ACTA and the free leaflet of
release dates give
the releasse as July 26th

I actually quite liked it, bar the seriously ropey incidental music...

The main theme has grown on me - "Who are you, what do you want, where are
you going,
who do you trust and who do you serve" - but everytime I hear the Crusade
incidental music
I think 70s Doctor Who :-)...... Danial - you've seen both - back me up
here ? Doesn't it sound
like the score for the Sea Devils recycled ?

Yes, the music does sound bit 70ish. I haven't heard the Sea Devil score
for some time -
so I couldn't say much about that.

As for the voice over:
Who are you, The star ship enterprise
what do you want, to find new life forms
where are you going, where no one has boldy gone before
who do you trust and who do you serve, the feberation.

I only hope the later ones (as you say) are better, because the first
one are very cliche.
And strangely enough rather that find a cure for the deaded plauge they
go off to god
knows where looking to "do something mystic".

Both B5:CTA and STV:DF are revisiting old plots and explaining things
which take some
of the "gaps" out of these storyline. But gaps are good as it implies
that there is
still lots more for the characters to do and to learn .

Ok, having seen the "first" epsiode (i.e. the first of the ones produced
before TNT started messing with it) I have to say that these are a lot
better than the previous ones (and I liked the previous ones!). I sat
watching it thinking "hey, this is more like B5" - sharp plot, confusing
twists and excellent lines for the sarky Brit character. It also shows
Gideon as a darker character than the previous episodes have and doesn't
have the "Federation" style ending which some of the other episodes have.
Although the effects aren't as slick as the other episodes they are OK
(think early B5 episodes). All in all these episodes are good.

The more episoles I see of B5:5, the more I think that they are all
doomed
- DOOMED I tell ya.
They actually mentioned the plauge this episole - but only as a side
plot.
And what was the Crusader doing - acting as a patrol car for a
conference.
I look forward to seeing the one JMS had control over; I also noticed
that
all the aliens have seemed to disappeared...

By the way, has anyone noticed that all bad alien devices require hugh
amounts of power (always supplied before it found to be a bad idea).
The moral is "If it needs more than 2 AA batteries - then don't
turn it on."

Sounds fair - I only get a list of rental release dates, which as a general
rule are earlier... not usually for B5 stuff though. The past couple of
weeks weren't good for rental releases, however. Sci-Fi wise, last week was
meant to be Call to Arms, which didn't show until this week, this week was
meant to be Voyager, Soldier and at least one Stargate: SG1 tape, possibly
two or three... not one of them showed.

Makes you wonder really...
