Mailing-lists moving
As MOST of you know, I'm leaving cimio.
As a result, I can't look after the ifis-announce, ifis-chat, and
gamesoc mailing-lists any more...
At least for the moment, I have transfered control of them over to Chris
T - chris@ As far as the mailing-lists are concerned, you
won't notice much difference - you'll still mail ifis-chat@
and it'll still be sent out to the same people you expected it to, the
only difference is that you need to speak to CHRIS to subscribe or
unsubscribe, not ME.
The GAMESOC web pages are unnaffected because they're at lucid, looked
after by Richard, but...
The IFIS web pages have been copied to
http://www.instituteofcorrection.org.uk/IFIS/
I will probably delete my copy, and set up a forwarding system to
redirect requests to chris's copy.
When I've settled into my new job at LEOnet (an internet service
provider on the other side of london) in mid december, I reccommend we
hold an EGM, and decide whether I should look after the web pages and
mailing-lists at LEOnet, or vote chris in as information
superhypewayman, or hand it over to Richard at Lucid, or whatever. I
would be more than happy to remain as information superhypewayman, and
I'll CERTAINLY have the facilities for it, but I suspect people might
prefer to vote in someone who's likely to be closer to the college.
On a side note, REGARDLESS of where the web pages end up, I will
probably be able to get us an alias of "www.ifis.eh.org" and
"www.gamesoc.eh.org" sometime, if we want them.
