The final episode of red dwarf (FINALLY SAW THE REPEAT!)

Am I the only one who thought that was rushed too much?

Okie, so they spent half the episode arsing about (they got put on
probation? when? why?) doing bugger all. (I liked the drunk scene tho, I
know a few people who have been in that sorta state, *wink* )

and then, they discover this microbe, cut to the captain issuing the evac,
then cut again to the dwarfers discussing a mirror universe (eh? eh? eh?))

rimmer passes through, wastes a whole load of time prancing about as the
captain, steps back into our universe, and the rest is history. and all this
is the space of 5 mins!!!

I kinda get the feeling that an opportunity has been wasted here. hey,
they've gotta have a cliffhanger, I know, but there were just so many holes
in this one.

I do like Rimmer's greeting to the grim reaper tho :o)

No.
I wondered if I'd missed an episode.
I think the last one I saw was DeadBirdPeteTheDinosaur II.

I thought the ideas were basically adequate, but it did seem at times to be two
separate epiosodes badly spliced together.

Yeah. This was news to me.
One of the reasons I thought I might have missed an episode.
This habit of repeating them later in the week (increasingly common on all
channels now, I think) doesn't help me to keep track of where I am.

Again, I assumed I'd forgotten something. And the evacuation pod thing with
Talia in it was a complete surprise to me. Has that been seen before?

then cut again to the dwarfers discussing a mirror universe (eh? eh? eh?))

I assumed it was just crap acting/scripting.
That's gotta be the least obvious solution to a problem I've ever seen. Cue the
bad excuse for a humorous situation I thought. It would make more sense if
there was a missing episode on the cutting-room floor somewhere that had a
mirror universe in it - or have we already seen one, and I've forgotten about
it?

Holes might be a bit harsh.
I think they just concertina-ed the plot somewhat.

It's like the rest of the series - cute ideas badly finished.
