Bit of a trek to find the mail archives but that's probably a good thing -
hide all our skeletons in the closet :-)
I pointed this out to phil in a different private email, but thought
I'd point out to the rest of
IFIS too...
You can always click on "sitemap" and then just about EVERYTHING is
one click away. Because of the menu in the top-left of just about
EVERY screen, it's difficult to be more than 2 clicks away from
ANYTHING.
The email archives also happen to have a shortcut under
"publications".
Thanks to Phil for a picture of Alex. I could still do with pictures
of a few other new committee members to go under "the society /
contacts", links to their web-pages if they have them, and their
little 2-to-4-paragraph biography-type-thingies.
Thanks to Asan for tidying up logo.jpg to look a bit nicer on a black
background. You'll notice I've got it choosing a random logo for the
top of each page - is that a silly idea?
There's still a few other things need tidying up - like the
library
booklists, search engine, and reccommendation system probably ought to
get "the new look" where appropriate, and the email archives probably
need a bit of an overhaul anyway.
I'd also welcome contributions from any members, of course! Don't
worry about the HTML for the borders and the titlebars and things -
they're handled almost automagically. Just send me plain text, or
ungarnished HTML, jpegs, gifs, whatever, and I'll see what I can do
with them.
