X-Files Episodes

Is it just me or does it look as though the BBC are about to show the
two episodes from the last 'exclusive' video slightly earlier than they
told us previously (ie. next Thursday?). Guess this means that the video
evening won't be before the BBC's screening.

Also on the X-Files, personally I don't think that IFIS should purchase
the first season boxed set as all you'll really be paying for is the
'extra' footage of interviews etc. and even I, quite a large X-Files
fan, don't really think that they're going to be worth 80 (or whatever
the box costs).

I'm not sure if I've circulated this story widely but........

In 1995 Fox Video started releasing the X-Files on video. Epsiodically. In
order. After 2 months of total chart domination they mysteriously vanished
following "a re-assessment of the marketing policy" Release dates were in place
for the remaining 8 tapes of Season 1 and yours truely was in possession of
discount vouchers.

At virtually the same week that the season 1 releases dispaeared Sky One
started re runs of X-Files S1 and publiscising heavily the fact. Many new
subscribers gathered. Sky profits up massively.

Sky TV (in all it's forms) is owned by Rupert Murdoch who owns News
International who own Fox whose subsidiaries Fox TV make the X-Files and Fox
Video release them.

Fox make 15 per person per video. Sky make 20+ per month per satelite
subscriber.

Video's don't sell as many units as people subscribe to satelite

Draw your own conclusions.

Incidentally, I've arranged for the BOB to also hold my X-Files Videos so all
you bunnies can borrow them.

If you have already got this forgive me, but there's a problem with pound signs
