London Trip
The annual IFIS "London Trip" was sort of idly scheduled for Nov 1st
this year, but wasn't confirmed. I sent an email out to this effect a
couple of weeks ago, and a few people, including a few IMPORTANT people,
have said they can't make it because of this strange "reading week"
thing (whatever that is).
So 2 things... Firstly, if you had reserved Nov 1st for us, I'm sorry,
it's postponed.
And SECONDLY, what dates WOULD people like to do this trip?
Nov 22nd?
Nov 29th?
Dec 6th?
Dec 13th?
Please mail me - nick@, not the whole list - if you're
interested in the trip, and let me know which of those dates are OK with
you.
Presumably if we're not too careful, we get messed up in the end of term.
In case you've not been on one of these before... Traditionally, we meet
up not-TOO-late on a Saturday morning, a few of "the oldies" and a whole
bunch of "new members". We all buy london travelcards, we head into
London, and us "old timers" show you where all the really good Sci-Fi
shops are, and we all have a jolly good time and try not to spend too
much money. If there are any relevant exhibitions on that anyone knows
about, we'll probably go to see them too, and NEW THIS YEAR will be a
trip to Page's Bar in the evening - a most excellent Sci-Fi pub, that
serves Romulan Ale and stuff, that you may have read about in "The Rune"
on on the web pages - http://www.noseynick.org/IFIS/
