Fresher's Fayre

For those who haven't heard yet, Fresher's Fayre is on the 2nd, 3rd, and
7th of October.

Yes, SECOND, THIRD, and SEVENTH. Bizarre.

They also insist that we charge a minimum of 3 quid membership. Assuming
we do charge 3 quid, 2 quid of it goes into the social and 1 quid into
the theoric fund (oh, except "theoric" is now called "grant" because
it's name used to be too complicated for univertisty students). The
theoric (sorry, grant) fund starts at the same as we had last year,
minus 50p per member last year.

We're supposed to add this up and realise that we end up with more
money, but anyone with half a brain realises this is only because we're
charging so much more for membership, and we are in fact being ripped
off by 50p per last-year-member. If we'd had 181 more members last year
(It's almost happenned before, from video evening memberships), we'd
start with a NEGATIVE theoric (sorry, grant).

Can someone tell us when the first SU GM is, so we can all turn up and
block-vote no-confidence the clubs+socs officer?

What stupid system!! Thanks for telling me about Fresher Fayre dates it
seems to be a policy not to inform students (either that or I'm blind).
Good idea about the no cofidence vote. I don't even know his name and I
already dislike him.

See you all Thursday if not before.
