I have searched long and hard in Staines for "The War Machines", which
only came out nine days ago, and have seen absolutely no sign whatsoever
of it in any shop whatsoever; however, Dr.Who magazine mentioned it
including an awful lot of missing material and a touched-up soundtrack.
If nothing else, I'm buying it, so if anyone wants to watch it, I
suppose we could arrange a viewing evening or something.
Another curious disappearance concerns the last Virgin-published New
Adventure, "Lungbarrow". Now, you've probably all been nattering away
about this for weeks, but since I'm only just back on the
IFIS mailing
list (Chilard has one "L", okay?!), all I can say is that it, too, has
vanished from the face of the Earth. However, I am planning to go to
London at some point in the future, in the hope that somewhere there it
will be available - and, in a feat of amazing self-sacrifice, I shall
let our glorious leader, President Luke Dalli, read it first, thus
removing any remote possibility of discovering the truth about the
Doctor before reading it.
In the meantime, live long and prosper. And if you don't live long, put
me in the will.
