It's true about the bird bath. A bit like a flattened hourglass. And if no
one believes us we have video evidence ! (I've got the last 5 minutes of the
1992 - and yes it was that long ago - Ascot Highlights for the Thursday on a
tape which I was recording something onto. And they showed a load of useless
hats including our Bird Bath) If anyone has the means to scan from video to
gif/bmp etc I can provide the tape so said bird bath may be imortalised on the
web site

Sadly I cannot join this year's annual peanut throwing contest, owing to the
fact we've got a small bun fight at work but enjoy anyway.
Philip - who's off on Holiday tomorrow so is rather happy and can't be ****ed
to work today.
PS If anyone knows this one of you will. Apparently BOD is being shown by a
satelite channel at the moment. Anybody know which ?

Today is ladies' day at the ascot races. This will mean the pub tonight
will be full of snobs in silly hats who have just come from the "arscot
rayces, what ho", and are stopping off for a "jolly tipple at the royal
arscot public house" on their way home.
Silly hats... I therefore announce the annual
ifis peanut-throwing
compettion... Ammunition available behind the bar. When they ask you
"plain, or dry-roasted", the answer is "whatever is most aerodynamic"!
Scores are 1 point for each hit, 10 points if the peanut actually stays
in the hat. A few years ago there was an excellent hat that looked like
an inverted bird-bath, with a huuuuuuuge cone on the top, so some
exceedingly high scores were gained by all.
My the best, erm, small furry creature from alpha centari win.
