Heya all,
Ok, it's getting close to that time of year again when the streets are
filled with drunken lawyers and the shops full of pesky little kids
dragging their parents around begging for the latest
tellytubby/yo-yo/portable rocket launcher.
Suggestions please for a Venue and Date for this years christmas dinner,
since I will start looking for bookings by the end of the month.
Please tell me :
When do you want it to be?
Dates of : 5th and 12th, Saturdays are possibilities.
What you would most want to eat
Where would be the best place to eat (nominations of Athlone canteen will
be photocopied and laughed at)
What would be the most important aspect of the night out (ie Drink?)
And....
Would you Like to GO???!?!?!?!?!
cheers
Asan

Not too fussed - haven't made any plans yet.

Lots of cooked dead animal.

Somewhere that sells lots of cooked dead animal (and cooked(?) dead veggies
those that want them).

Cooked dead animal and drinking.

Definitely.

Heya,
Talking of venues, what about Caffe UNO down at the bottom of Egham hill?
I'm sure they'd do a decent dinner down there, and it's close to the
college as well!
cheers

It's worth checking out first, as I think it is more of a winebar
with a limited menu. I'm not sure if it would be able to cope
with large numbers. I would recommend Don Beni's (Italian) in
Englefield Green as a decent local venue. However it is probably
worth getting an idea of numbers before selecting a suitable venue.

There is a bigger (or at least it looks bigger) Italian restaurant down in
Egham - not tried it so can't comment on how good it is. I do recommend
Jaspers tho - it's the place we did last year - they didn't even seem to mind
us singing drunkenly out of tune.

BTW, could you make sure that they have a VEGETARIAN menu. And NO I don;t
want one of those nut roasts, I'm allergic to the oils in the nuts. Oh,
yeah! I can;t eat spicy food either - I like um die because I have a weird
reaction to them.
THANKS CLAIRE!!! (i GUESS I COULD EAT SALAD........AGAIN)
