Someone here at work missed the final episode last Friday, and would really
quite like to know what happened.

Obviously the virus hadn't worked.....
The thing keeps expanding eating all the soil containing living mass.
They think about nuking it.....
They fly a plane into it and get data on the inards of it.
The female scientist character - in 6 weeks I never managed to remember any
of their names - theorises they could destroy it if they let off a missile
in it's centre.
Her co-scientist blokie enters the mass believing he can make contact with
the ND's
They fly the plane into the mass and destroy it using a missile - only for
another to appear.
Female scientist realises that because virus didn't work on the nd's the
tissue in her body is likely to start growing again...
She then remains behind at ground 0 when they do nuke it ....
Not a terribly good summary but....
